A Mystic Approach to Rei-ki and Meditation

20.00

Date: October 26th
Time: 10am-1pm

Carey Rossignol, founder of Aikikan Preservation Society, has spent nearly fifty years studying the martial ways and eastern mysticism. On this path Carey works with core principles rather than analytical studies; including the understanding that some answers challenge western conceptualization and are not easily understood. The human spirit needs as much attention as the physical body, and energy is everywhere and in everything. Rei-ki, one way of working with this energy, allows the body and mind to slow down, this activates the unified healing power of the whole self in relation to the universal principles. As a gentle hands-on healing technique, Rei-ki brings benefits of pain relief, decreased anxiety, a state of calm in one's life, as well as the opportunity to connect and work with one's Hara (center).

During this class students will be introduced to principles including:

- Basic and traditional methods of meditation for those who might struggle

- An in-depth look at the historic roots of rei-ki, including primitive approaches

- An introduction into eastern thinking as it relates to depression in western cultures

- Using the Hara to assist in diagnosing and treating challenges affecting individuals.
