Take 2 Glasses of Nature and Call Me in the Morning!

The format of this workshop is mini-retreat style offering the opportunity to step away from daily stresses and utilize nature to gently calm and ground your mind, body and spirit in the present moment. A basic introduction and discussion about what mindfulness is and isn't will lead into a guided experience of mindful breathing, the basic building block of mindfulness practice. From that foundation participants will have the opportunity to enjoy various nature based mindfulness activities that are easily duplicated in the course of daily life. Participants will also be provided with a handout with additional activity suggestions as well as resources to further explore and deepen independent mindfulness practice. Space will be provided for reflection and discussion. In the event of inclement weather, the focus will be on nature based mindfulness activities tailored to an indoor setting.
